Warlock
Drains, fear and demons that do the work. Blizzard has not published its warlock changes yet, so this page is short.
Blizzard does not undersell this one. Its description begins "Warlocks are the bane of all life" and ends with "singular wickedness and cruelty". In practice a warlock wears an enemy down over time, takes health back from it and keeps a summoned demon at hand.
Banish and Fear are among the crowd control tools Blizzard says still have a place in Forever's dungeons.
Who can be one
Alliance: Gnome, human.
Horde: Orc, troll, undead.
What to wear
Armor: Cloth.
Look for: Intellect, spirit.
Weapons: A staff or a one-hander, and a wand. The 2004 guide says a good wand and high spirit and intellect are most of what a warlock needs.
A caster weapon and a wand, then intellect. The gear guide has the rest.
What we don't know yet
There is no Blizzard deep dive for the warlock yet. We don't know what has changed in its spells or talents, and we will fill this in when Blizzard says.
A warlock's demon is a permanent helper, a little like a hunter's pet, except that you summon it rather than tame it.

In the 2004 guide

We have no then-and-now entries for the warlock so far.
