Seventeen dungeons. That was the whole list.
2004 said
A table of 17 dungeons, from Ragefire Chasm at levels 13 to 15 up to Scholomance at 57 to 60.
Forever says
Nine new dungeons. Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron are already open in the beta.
The section on group roles includes a table of every dungeon in the game. It has 17 rows. Maraudon and Dire Maul, which veterans think of as part of the original game, aren't on it because they hadn't been built yet.
Forever adds nine new dungeons. Two are in the beta: Hall of Thanes for levels 13 to 18 and Ruins of Lordaeron for 15 to 20. The October 1 beta notes add an Excavation Site in the Wetlands.
The guide's ideal starter group was a warrior, a mage and a priest, plus two friends. That part has aged fine.
A dungeon is a private adventure for a group of five: one player to take the hits, one to heal and three to do the damage.
